A new trailer for the second season of Tsukimichi – Moonlit Fantasy was released on December 6, 2023. The trailer revealed that the season will premiere on January 8, 2024, at 11:00 pm JST on TOKYO MX and BS Nippon TV. It will also be broadcast on MBS on January 9. The second season’s opening theme song, “Utopia,” will be performed by singer Keina Suda, while the ending theme song, “My Factor,” will be sung by voice actor Kento Ito, who portrays the character Ilumgand Hopleys in the second season.

A New Studio will animate Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy Season 2

It has been announced that Studio J.C. Staff will be producing the second season of Tsukimichi – Moonlit Fantasy, replacing Studio C2C, who animated the first season. J.C. Staff is a well-known and reputable animation studio in Japan, producing several popular anime series such as Toradora!, DanMachi, Food Wars!, and Edens Zero.

While the reason for the studio switch hasn’t been explicitly stated, some fans speculate that it could be due to C2C’s busy schedule or J.C. Staff’s expertise in handling fantasy anime.

The upcoming season will span two consecutive cours, which means that it will have over 20 episodes, providing a more expansive narrative than season one.
