Rent-a-Girlfriend fans can finally rejoice as Season 4 is officially in the works. On July 12, the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) account announced the exciting news, accompanied by a promotional video and key visual. The Season 4 announcement came nearly a year after Season 3 ended, surprising fans who had almost given up on the show’s return.
Rent-a-Girlfriend is based on Reiji Miyajima’s manga series, which began serialization in July 2017 in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. The manga currently has 37 volumes in circulation.
Rent a Girlfriend Season 4 Release Date
The fourth season of Rent a Girlfriend is scheduled to be released in 2025, though the month or date has not yet been revealed.
The key visual, created by the original manga artist Reiji Miyajima, features lead characters Chizuru and Kazuya holding hands, with supporting characters around them.
The anime adapted the manga content up to chapter 167. The next season will continue from Chapter 168, covering the “Hawaii Trip” arc as shown in the teaser. This arc promises significant developments in Chizuru and Kazuya’s relationship, keeping fans eagerly anticipating the next phase of their story.
Besides the Season 4 confirmation, no further details about staff changes or new cast members have been revealed. However, it’s likely that the main cast will return. Expected to reprise their roles are:
