The hit rom-com anime The Dangers in My Heart will be returning for its highly anticipated second season in early 2024. During the “The Dangers in My Heart FAN FEST 2023” event held on December 10, 2023, the main promotional video for season 2 was released. The video revealed the premiere date as well as the opening and ending theme songs for the upcoming season.
The Dangers in My Heart anime is produced by Shin-Ei Animation Studio and adapted from the manga of the same name written and illustrated by Norio Sakurai. The manga currently consists of eight tankobon volumes and has sold over three million copies worldwide as of September 2023. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the manga in English. The anime’s first season, which had twelve episodes, ran from April to June of 2023.

The Dangers in My Heart Season 2 release date
The Dangers in My Heart Season 2 is slated to premiere on January 6, 2024, at 25:30 (effectively January 7 at 1:30 am) on TV Asahi’s NUMAnimation programming block and its affiliates. The anime will also be broadcast on BS Asahi on January 13 and on CS TV Asahi Channel 1 starting on January 21. The new season will be available to stream on Prime Video for international audiences on the same day as the Japanese premiere.
HiDive has also announced that the second season of The Dangers in My Heart will be simulcast on their platform as part of the Winter 2024 anime lineup.
The latest trailer for season two of the anime introduces new characters and previews the opening and ending songs. Atarayo, a J-pop band, will perform the opening theme song “Boku Wa…”, while YouTuber Kohana Lam will sing the ending theme song “Koi Shiteru Jibun Sura Aiserunda.”
The talented cast and staff of season one of The Dangers in My Heart will be returning for a second season.
