An anime adaptation of Kenta Shinohara’s popular fantasy and romantic comedy manga series, Witch Watch, has been officially announced. The premiere is scheduled for April 2025 in Japan. This exciting news was shared on August 18 through a newly launched official website and X (formerly Twitter) account, along with the main voice cast and production staff.
Additionally, a teaser trailer and visual for the show were dropped.

The Witch Watch anime is being produced by Bibury Animation Studios, known for titles like Magical Destroyers, and 100 Girlfriends Who, Really, Really, Really Love You.
Hiroshi Ikehata is the director (TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You), with the series composition by Deko Akao (Suppose a Kid From the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town) and Haruko Iizuka handling the character designs (Ensemble Stars!). Yukari Hashimoto (Shachibato! President, It’s Time for Battle!) is composing the music.

The Witch Watch manga began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2021, with 17 volumes published to date. The series is ongoing, with the 18th volume set to release on September 4, 2024.

Morihito Otogi’s family is descended from a long line of ogre familiars, and he has the inhuman strength to prove it.
