Based on the hit supernatural rom-com manga by Kotoyama, Call of the Night follows Kou Yamori, a middle school student who struggles with sleeplessness and spends his nights wandering the deserted streets. His fateful encounter with the mysterious girl, Nazuna, kicks off a bizarre adventure as she reveals herself to be a vampire. The manga concluded its run in January 2024, with 19 volumes and 200 chapters.
The first season adapted the manga’s initial 5 volumes (46 chapters). This means that over half of the manga story remains for the anime to cover. Fans can expect Season 2 to pick up the story from Chapter 47 and potentially reveal Nazuna’s past.
The anime’s first season, which enthralled viewers during its 13-episode run, is currently available for streaming on HiDIVE with an English dub.
