The hit romantic comedy light novel series Days with My Stepsister is getting an anime adaptation this summer 2024. The story centers around Yuuta Asamura and Saki Ayase, two high school students who become step-siblings after their parents marry and slowly grow closer to each other.
On March 24, 2024, the official website of Days with My Stepsister went live and dropped a new teaser trailer and visual featuring the main characters Saki Ayase and Yuuta Asamura. Additional staff and two new voice cast members for the upcoming anime were also revealed.
Days with My Stepsister started as a series on YouTube in May 2020 by creator Ghost Mikawa. Due to its success, it was adapted into a light novel written by Ghost Mikawa and illustrated by Hiten. Published by Media Factory under their MF Bunko J label since January 2021, the light novel now has 10 volumes.
The series also received a manga adaptation by Yumika Kanade. The manga began serializing in Kadokawa Shoten’s Shōnen Ace Plus magazine in July 2021, and three volumes have been collected.

Days with My Stepsister is scheduled to premiere in July 2024, though the exact release date and broadcast/streaming platform details have not been announced yet.

Studio Deen is producing the Days with My Stepsister anime under the direction of Takehiro Ueno. Mitsutaka Hirota is the scriptwriter, Manabu Nii is in charge of character design, and Citoca is composing the music.

After his father remarries, Yuuta suddenly finds himself with a new stepsister: Saki, the greatest beauty at school. Neither of them is sure how to act around the other at first, but the two gradually grow more comfortable living together. Slowly, cautiously, patiently, two strangers become more. So begins an unlikely love story.
