Exciting news has emerged for fans eagerly anticipating the romantic comedy anime Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! A new promotional video has finally confirmed the official release date of the series. The show, which was originally scheduled for 2023, will now air in early 2024. The PV also reveals the anime’s opening and ending theme songs.
Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! is based on Kai Ikada’s popular manga series of the same name. Initially released as a one-shot, the manga began serialization in September 2019 in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ magazine and has published 12 tankōbon volumes as of December 2023. The manga is currently available in English for free on Shueisha’s Manga Plus website and app.
Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! Anime Release Date
The anime Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! is scheduled to premiere in Japan on January 8, 2024, at 24:30 JST (which is effectively January 9 at 12:30 AM) on TV Tokyo, TV Hokkaido, and BS TV Tokyo. While the platform that will stream the show outside of Japan has not yet been officially announced, it is expected that Crunchyroll will simulcast it as part of its Winter 2024 lineup.
The opening theme song for the anime “Namaramenkoi Gyaru” will be performed by singer Masayoshi Ōishi, while the ending theme song, “Wayawayawa-!,” will be sung by artist Asaka.
