The popular comedy manga series Plus-Sized Elf by Synecdoche is getting an anime adaptation in July 2024, as announced on March 24th via the show’s official website and X (formerly Twitter) handle. The manga follows an elf named Erufuda who loves junk food and struggles with dieting.
While no details about the staff have been shared yet, a new teaser visual for the anime featuring the four main characters was released along with the release window.
The manga Plus-Sized Elf was first published on Wani Books’ Comic Gum website from December 2016 through May 2021, with eight tankōbon volumes in total. A sequel series called “Plus-Sized Elf: Second Helping!” began serializing in Akita Shoten’s Seinen magazine in October 2021. As of January 2024, three volumes of the follow-up manga have been released.

The anime adaptation of Plus-Sized Elf is in production and slated for release this July, though an exact premiere date has not yet been announced.

Seven Seas Entertainment is publishing the Plus-Sized Elf manga in English and describes it as follows:
