Following the announcement of Solo Leveling‘s second season on March 30, we now have a new teaser trailer for the sequel. The trailer was released during the anime’s panel at Anime Expo 2024 on July 6, 2024. It features the original soundtrack song “4eVR” by Hiroyuki Sawano and action clips from the upcoming season.

Solo Leveling Season 2 Release Date
While an exact release date has not yet been provided, Solo Leveling Season 2 is expected to come out sometime late this year or early 2025. Crunchyroll has officially announced that the new season will be available for streaming on their platform, simultaneously with its Japanese premiere.
Shunsuke Nakashige, the director of the first season of Solo Leveling, will continue in that role for the sequel, and A-1 Pictures will again produce the animation.
The core staff from Season 1 is expected to return for Season 2, including:

Solo Leveling started as a web novel and was later adapted into a manhwa. The manhwa was written by Chugong, illustrated by Jang Sung-rak, and published by D&C Media, with 11 volumes released so far.
The anime’s first season concluded in March 2024, adapting content up to volume 4, chapter 45 of the webtoon, including the Job Change Arc. Season 2, titled “Arise from the Shadow,” is set to continue the story from chapter 46, beginning with the Red Gate Arc. Following this, the anime is expected to cover the Dungeon Castle Arc and possibly adapt the first few chapters of the Jeju Island Arc as well.
Solo Leveling Season 2 is expected to consist of 13 episodes.
