Wind Breaker season 2 is officially confirmed to be in production following the first season’s final episode on June 27. The news was announced via the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, accompanied by an announcement video. Wind Breaker gained substantial popularity during its first 13-episode run and was one of the hottest animes in spring.
Wind Breaker Season 2 Release Date
Wind Breaker‘s second season is scheduled for release in 2025, though the specific month or date has not yet been revealed. If we make an educated guess based on the release pattern of the first season, the sequel could come out in early 2025.
The first season of Wind Breaker is currently available on Crunchyroll. It has been confirmed that the streaming platform will also stream the upcoming season when it releases.

Wind Breaker is adapted from Satoru Nii’s ongoing manga of the same name, which has been serialized since January 2021 on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket and currently has 17 volumes. The anime’s first season, which aired from April to June 2024, covered 41 chapters (Volume 5) of the manga. The new season will likely continue the story from Chapter 42 (Volume 6).
Studio CloverWorks produced Wind Breaker season 1, with Toshifumi Akai directing and Hiroshi Seko handling the series composition. Taishi Kawakami served as chief animation director and character designer, while Ryo Takahashi composed the music.
Wind Breaker features a star-studded voice cast, including Yuuma Uchida as Haruka Sakura, Yuuichi Nakamura as Hajime Umemiya, Shimazaki Nobunaga as Hayato Suo, and Nobuhiko Okamoto as Ren Kaji.
Other notable cast members include Shoya Chiba, Ikumi Hasegawa, Toya Kikunosuke, and Ryota Suzuki. Many of these voice actors are recognized for their roles in popular anime such as Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia, Chainsaw Man, and 86 Eighty-Six
