Fans of DC Comics and anime are hyped up for Warner Bros. Japan’s new original anime project, Suicide Squad: Isekai, hitting screens this summer. As the name suggests, this upcoming series will transport DC’s most infamous supervillains – like Harley Quinn and Deadshot – into another realm filled with dragons and other magical creatures.
Warner Bros. Japan recently released a gripping key visual alongside a trailer previewing the anime’s ending theme.
Suicide Squad: Isekai Anime Release date
While the exact release date is still a mystery, the latest trailer confirmed that Suicide Squad: Isekai will premiere in July 2024 on Tokyo MX and BS11 in Japan. The streaming platforms for international audiences haven’t yet been known, but Crunchyroll is likely to stream the anime.
Suicide Squad: Isekai Story
Amanda Waller, a senior government officer, recruits a villain team, including Harley Quinn, Deadshot, and a few others, for a mission. With explosives implanted in their necks, they’re sent to a fantasy world filled with magic and dragons.
In this realm, the squad must finish their mission within 72 hours; otherwise, the bombs placed on their necks will detonate.

The third trailer looks awesome and gives more details about the story. It’s clearly seen in the trailer how Wit Studio has done such a great job. Each character is detailed and colorful, but none more so than our beloved Harley Quinn. There is no doubt that she will be the main attraction of the series.
